What Changed in June and July 2018
To Monday 18 June 2018
- A huge heap of work around locally hosted advertising. Users shouldn't see any of this because the database is currently empty.
- Improvements to adding "books" - now includes DVDs, and the entry page is tabbed to reduce scrolling needed.
- Ported virtual cruise to Google Maps version 3 (finally!). Refactored the code while I was doing it which should make some of the outstanding improvements to vcruise easier when I get to them.

- Entering a flight of locks into search now takes you directly to the flight
- Changed structure→feature in placefinder.can
- Started a change from "books" to "publications"; done on waterway gazetteer pages.

- Changed "books" to "publications" in more places (waterway edit menu, the adding them to waterway pages).
- Made the list of publications that can be added to a waterway into tabs as well

- Fixed some bitrot that had crept into publications:
- Adding/removing a publication with a html special character from a waterway doesn't lead to double escaping (we were getting "Trent &&& Mersey" and similar)
- Publications already associated with a waterway are always shown when editing as are those that are "inherited"

- Addressed issue 477 - made 404 page be generated by build scripts by extending the code for the "empty" page, thereby making it easier to make more such pages in future.
- Produced proper navigational notes (derived from stoppages) for features.
