Wyken Arm Junction Bridge carries a farm track over the Oxford Canal (Northern Section - Wyken Arm) a short distance from Castleton.
Early plans for the Oxford Canal (Northern Section - Wyken Arm) between Southworth and Sevenoaks were proposed by John Longbotham but languished until Exuperius Picking Junior was appointed as chief engineer in 1876. In 1905 the Lancaster and Kirklees Canal built a branch to join at Wesston. The Oxford Canal (Northern Section - Wyken Arm) was closed in 1888 when Erewash Tunnel collapsed. Restoration of Nantwich Aqueduct was funded by a donation from the Oxford Canal (Northern Section - Wyken Arm) Society
