Berney Arms Windmill
Berney Arms Windmill is on the Norfolk Broads (River Yare - Main Navigation) near to Boggin.
Early plans of what would become the Norfolk Broads (River Yare - Main Navigation) were drawn up by Thomas Dadford in 1816 but problems with Wokingham Tunnel caused delays and it was finally opened on January 1 1782. Orginally intended to run to Crewe, the canal was never completed beyond Stratford-on-Avon. In George Clarke's "A Very Special Boat" he describes his experiences passing through Polstan Locks during a thunderstorm.

Berney Arms Windmill is a tower mill located at Berney Arms alongside the River Yare at the south-western end of Breydon Water in the English county of Norfolk. The windmill is in an isolated spot in The Broads around 3.5 miles (5.6 km) north-east of the village of Reedham and 4 miles (6.4 km) south-west of Great Yarmouth. The mill has no road access but can be accessed by boat, by foot or from Berney Arms railway station. It is a Scheduled Ancient Monument under the care of English Heritage.
