[River Don, Yorkshire] Dutch River was difficult to navigate, made more hazardous by shoals, three awkward bridges, and low water levels at neap tides. With the opening of the [Bridgwater] Bridgwater was also home to a number of iron foundries. George Hennet's Bridgwater Iron Works worked on bridges, railways and machinery for Brunel and Robert Stephenson [Austin, Texas] 640 acres (260 ha) that fronted the Colorado River between two creeks, Shoal Creek and Waller Creek, which was later named in his honor. Waller and a [Port of Grimsby] by a reinforced concrete bridge from Humber Street (now Humber Bridge Street) crossing the main Grimsby to Cleethorpes railway line by five main spans [River Parrett] "freed" in 1946. It now carries the A361 road. Just below the bridge there was a shoal of rocks and stones, which was also mentioned in Armstrong's report [Greenock] Robin Jenkins in his 1979 novel Fergus Lamont (The Gantocks are a rocky shoal in the Firth of Clyde nearby, just off Dunoon). Alasdair Gray's 1984 novel [Jephson Gardens] Memorial was featured on the cover of the Ocean Colour Scene album Moseley Shoals, and the park's underpass was found on The Shapes, Songs For Sensible People [History of Philadelphia] Netherland claim of the Dutch. Dutch explorer Cornelius Jacobsen May charted the shoals Delaware Bay in the 1620s and a fort was built on the west side of the bay [Rogers Pass (British Columbia)] but the term also includes the approaches used by the Canadian Pacific Railway (CP) and the Trans-Canada Highway.
