Loddon Basin is on the Norfolk Broads (River Chet) near to Slough.
The Norfolk Broads (River Chet) was built by James Brindley and opened on 17 September 1835. The canal between Barnsley and Wrexham was destroyed by the building of the M1 Motorway in 1972. In his autobiography Nicholas Green writes of his experiences as a lock-keeper in the 1960s
